Glass, The Virgin Sessions
09 Dec 2001
There's nothing I like more
than good live music...and you can't get it often enough in London.
Last night, I went to
see my work mate Gary and his mates strut their stuff on stage for the
first time in front of a capacity crowd at One Two Six in Clapham.
The guys had the crowd rocking and shaking fists in appreciation to covers
of Scooby Snacks (a personal favourite), Honky Tonk Woman, err...something
from the Commitments, Cab Driver, something else, This One Goes Out To The
One I Live from REM, a Dirty Old Town and something from U2. To tell
you the truth, I had a great time but after all the Jack Daniels (mmm...all
good) I had just a few hours ago...I'm having a hard time remembering
exactly what they played.
Anyway, it was a damn good
craic. Here's the pictures of the boys in action.
(Oh...honourable mention
time...the boys had the finest looking roadies/groupies I have every
seen. I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a a few happy snaps but
you'll just have to take my word for it that these fems looked
great...especially given their 'Glass' roadie t-shirts were one or two
sizes too small!)
This is the money shot
(well, the one most in focus anyway). Gary playing bass.
