Hama, Syria
Early May
2002
There's not much to see at Hama - the main sight of interest are it's
norias - water wheels upto 20m in diameter - that have graced the town for
centuries. Well, that and a clapped out 1950's Chevy taxi.

Water wheel in Hama.

Water wheel.

Smaller water wheel.

Some of the waterwheels are still used for crushing the occasional bit
of wheat to make flour.

Clapped out 1950's Chevy taxi. All good.
