Konpiste Castle
January 2004
After New Years Eve in
Prague, Lenka and I took a round about route to her home in Luhacovice
stopping off to visit this fine castle not far from Tabor. It's
called Konpiste Castle.
Konopiste castle was
completely reconstructed in the 19th century and now houses a fascinating
collection of historical weapons, furniture, paintings and tapestries.
Not that we saw any of this because it was kinda closed and I'd seen
enough historical weapons, furniture, paintings and tapestries
Have to say it was was a
beautiful place ... hidden in a white snow covered frosty forest.
Here's the photos.

Forest path leading up to
the castle. I just love this shot. It feels positively dream
like.
